Dog of the Week
This six month old Pit Bull Terrier mix earned his name. Most likely abandoned on the shelter property and running free, this handsome boy gave some Good Samaritan's and staff members a scare as they chased him down Route 31. Not a safe place for a dog to running loose; he finally jumped into someone's car. We are sure he thought "Yeah, car ride!" Well, he is now safe here at the shelter and we are all grateful for the happy ending. What would make it even happier, was if Chase was adopted and had a family to call his own. A very sweet pup, Chase will need a patient owner who has the time to help him burn his boundless energy in an appropriate way. Currently enrolled in our in house obedience classes, Chases is learning some manners. He knows sit and shake and is smart and able to learn much more. A dog experienced owner who is committed to continued training will help Chase grow into a lovely, well mannered adult dog. He may to be too much for small children, at least until he learns that jumping up is not the way to say hello. An active doggy sibling may be helpful in channeling his energy. If you are looking for love and a wiggly, silly, happy go lucky dog… Chase may be the one for you. (Obedience classes are included (and free!) with our Luv-A-Bull, Adopt-A-Bull, Train-A-Bull program). All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all their vaccinations prior to adoption. For more information on Chase, or any of our other animals, please give us a call at 847.697.2880 ext. 28.

Cat of the Week
My Mom had a good heart and took in too many kittens…now with too many adult cats in her home; she had to send me to Anderson to find a new home where I can get more love and attention. I am a very sweet and affectionate one year old if you don't mind me saying so, quite good looking. My gorgeous black coat say's it all. I love everyone that I meet, including other cats. I would adore a kitty sibling to hang out with. Take me home today, pleassssse! All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all their vaccinations prior to adoption. For more information on Oreo, or any of our other animals, please give us a call at 847.697.2880 ext. 28. Visit Oreo at the South Elgin PetCo at 364 Randall Road where she is living in the adoption center.
