Kids & Kritters (KNK) sessions are two-hour interactive animal encounters where participants ages nine through twelve will learn about animals, engage in hands-on activities with shelter residents, and have fun! Learn More
Critter Camp-
Critter Camp takes place in July and is a one-week day camp program for animal-loving kids at Anderson Animal Shelter. The age groups are 6-8years old and 9-12 years old. Campers will spend the week engaged in arts & crafts, games and activities with an animal welfare theme. There will also be plenty of hands-on time with shelter animals as well. Adopt a Classroom-
Helping stray, abused, and abandoned animals in our community is our number-one goal. But rescuing, sheltering, and adopting animals isn't enough. We also need to teach our youngest citizens the basics of responsible pet care and the value of treating people and animals with kindness and respect.
